Navigating a Major App Upgrade and Design Revamp: A Success Story

Recently, we at Monocept faced a dual challenge from one of our clients: upgrading their applications from version 9 to 16 and integrating Google Analytics (GA) for comprehensive data visibility and user journey insights.
The Challenge
Our client required a seamless upgrade of their applications from version 9 to 16 without disrupting existing functionality. Additionally, a complete user interface (UI) design revamp was needed. This comprehensive upgrade had to be executed under tight deadlines, ensuring no disruption of ongoing work and deliverables.
Moreover, they wanted to implement GA events to analyse customer behaviour metrics. This data was crucial for identifying drop-off points in the customer journey, attracting more traffic, and retaining existing customers.
The Monocept Solution
To address the version upgrade, we developed a meticulous migration plan. This plan included an end-to-end analysis of all existing dependencies to mitigate any risk of breaking the application flow. We initially migrated a few apps to assess the overall impact and replicated this process across all other apps. Simultaneously, we implemented GA events to gain insights into the customer funnel. Through this analysis, we discovered specific screens where users were dropping off.
